Sections
Capture sections in a
element
All sections must contain a <title>
or a
<label>
element. If a section has neither then it is not a
section and should be captured as a paragraph.
Example
<title>Scope</title> <p>This focus collection highlights the research activities of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), an interdisciplinary research centre within the University of Waterloo. With more than 100 faculty members collaborating across eleven departments, WIN is Canada's largest nanotechnology institute, and research at WIN covers the full spectrum of nanotechnology applications. The scope of the collection spans the four thematic areas of WIN: smart and functional materials (2D and quantum materials, quantum dots, biomaterials, additive manufacturing), connected devices (sensors, MEMS/NEMS, flexible electronics, wearable devices, internet of things and AI for sensors, human-machine interface), next generation energy systems (low-carbon sustainable technologies, batteries, solar cells, fuel cells, catalysis, artificial photosynthesis), and therapeutics and theranostics (targeted drug delivery, tissue engineering, minimally invasive treatment of disease, immunotherapy, medical imaging). Discoveries made by WIN scientists and engineers are fundamentally changing the world and helping to solve some of humanity's most pressing issues. To achieve societal impact and a sustainable future, WIN has mapped its thematic areas with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. </p>
