- Root Element
  The root element for a container is a <container> element.
- Metadata
  Capture metadata for a container in a <metadata> element.
  - Container Status
    Capture the status of a container in a <container-status> element.
  - Container ID
    Capture identifiers for the container in <container-id> elements.
    - Publisher ID
      Capture the Publisher ID in a <container-id> element with a @pub-id-type attribute of publisher-id.
    - DOI
      If the container has a DOI then capture it in a <container-id> element with a @pub-id-type attribute of value doi.
  - Contained By
    If a container is associated with one or more journals then capture the information inside a <contained-by> element.
  - Container Title
    Capture the title for a container in a <container-title> element child of <title-group> element.
  - Publication Date
    Capture the publication date for a container in a <pub-date>element.
  - History Dates
    Capture history dates for a container using a <history> element.

Publisher ID

Capture the Publisher ID in a <container-id> element with a @pub-id-type attribute of publisher-id.

The typical format of the publisher-id is: [journal-code]-[date]-[container number].
